Founded in 1924, we bring over a century of industry experience supporting scalable, high-performance solutions across multiple sectors.

With over 30 years in transportation industry (including starting her career as a truck driver) she brings hands-on industry expertise and a commitment to the company’s long-term success.

Jose has worked in transportation since 2015, specializing in carrier development, capacity planning, freight coordination, and logistics operations. Fluent in English and Spanish, he is dedicated to building strong carrier partnerships and improving transportation efficiency.

With over 29 years at ELHC, Jennifer is an accounts receivable expert specializing in freight charge recovery, reducing aging balances, and protecting company revenue. Known for her industry knowledge, strategic problem-solving, and consistent performance, she excels in high-volume logistics billing environments.

Carina has been with ELHC for 6 years and supports accounting for NAL and TOP. She started in Mexico accounts payable and now works in the U.S. with A/P, billing, and finance. Before logistics, she worked in early childhood education, where she developed strong leadership skills rooted in empathy and communication. A fun fact: she sometimes starts speaking in Spanish without realizing it!

krista monroe

finance operations specialist

Krista has worked in the logistics industry since 1997 and has been with the company since 2012. Known as the "Carrier Whisperer," she handles freight bill auditing, carrier payments, carrier setup, and invoice processing while building strong carrier relationships and keeping operations running smoothly. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her chihuahua, Cody, and her tuxedo cat, Sharon.

1924

Founded as the Joy Cab Company, filling a need to move automotive parts in the city of Detroit.

1940’s

Supported the war effort by transporting critical manufacturing materials.

1941

1941

Awarded one of the first motor carrier operating authorities, establishing an early presence in regulated freight transportation.

1965

Renamed E.L. Hollingsworth & Co. in honor of Emmet L. Hollingsworth, a Native American leader whose legacy continues to shape the company today.

1984

HELP LT secured the General Motors Truck Plant expedite contract.

1987

Became a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) through the NMSDC, reflecting our Native American family ownership and ongoing commitment to diversity and growth.

1991

Launched Chieftain Contract Services to provide dedicated truckload.

2007

Established TOP Worldwide, expanding global logistics with full-service freight brokerage capabilities.

2008

Founded Native American Logistics to support automotive manufacturers in the Detroit area and focused on optimizing large-scale supply chains.

2010

Expanded internationally with the launch of NAL Mexico, strengthening cross-border logistics services.

2013

Formed First Nations Insurance Company to provide specialized freight insurance for carrier partners.

2019

Divested Chieftain Contract Services and HELP LTL to focus on core growth areas and future expansion.

2019

Supported emergency logistics efforts during the Flint water crisis, coordinating water distribution to affected communities.

2024

Celebrated 100 years of service, innovation, and community impact as a Native American family-owned and operated company.
